About the Panelist:  

Tomeka M. Winborne -considers herself as a social impact filmmaker. She started her film journey in 2009.  Winborne decided to make three short films as her film school; it allowed her to learn and make mistakes. After exceeding her goal by directing five short films, Winborne is expanding her cinematic creativity by becoming an episodic TV director and feature film director. Winborne is the Co-Chair of the Alliance of Women Directors South and Chair of the Alliance of Women Directors Black Directors Advancement Initiative. She’s also a member of Women of Color Unite, Glass Elevator, and Brown Girls Doc Mafia.
