Co-hosts Jamie and Jasmine describes Feminist&Queer Happy Hour by saying: “Networking is hard and weird. Meeting casually in a no pressure environment like this happy hour is a way to network as people who care about the same things. Ideally, there would also be cats, but I haven’t figured out how to make that part happen yet.”
In February join them at Remnant Brewery in Somerville for a night of networking and screening of their favorite women’s short films from last year!
The event is free but they’re asking for a suggested donation of $5 which will enter you in the raffle to win two pairs of tickets to a movie at the upcoming Wicked Queer: The Boston LGBT Film Festival. All proceeds will go to support the Wicked Queer.
They will also to screen two short films, “an (un)natural birth” and Oscar-nominated “Marguerite”.
For several years now Marguerite, a diabetic woman in her seventies, has been getting daily visits from Rachel, her home health nurse. Discovering Rachel’s homosexuality plunges Marguerite into her own unacknowledged desires and unfulfilled longing. Directed by Marianne Farley, 20 mins.
an (un)natural birth
