We’re Rosi and Brian Amador, founders of Sol y Canto. We’ve been performing uplifting Latin music with this band for 25 years, and for 10 years before that with Flor de Caña. Not surprisingly, our daughter Alisa has chosen a musical path as well, and she’s grown into a phenomenal singer/songwriter.
On October 6, 2019 we will be celebrating Sol y Canto’s 25th anniversary (and our 35th year of performing together) with a concert and live recording at CROMA in Boston. The show will feature the Sol y Canto quintet, our daughter Alisa, and special guests. Alisa has been adding her adult voice to the intricate family harmonies for many years, but this is the first opportunity we’ve had to record together as musical equals.
As always, our music carries a strong humanistic message, and it seems more necessary than ever to get it out into the world.
