as she leads this WIFVNE Networking Wednesday session on screenwriting

In this special "Ask Me Anything" Networking Wednesday event, Elizabeth offers advice on reaching the screen, drawing on her experience as a longtime fiction writer who learned scriptwriting and in 2023 ‘reached the screen’ as a co-writer on a feature film, I’LL SHOW YOU MINE (Duplass Brothers).

Elizabeth will walk attendees through tips for ‘reaching the screen,’ including:

  • how to ‘start small; start local’ in getting your foot in the filmwriting door
  • how to make the most of the festival circuit and find ‘kindred spirits’
  • how to transition from fiction into scriptwriting, using fiction-writer skill set
  • a brainstorming exercise on taking the first steps of adapting a piece of fiction for the screen
  • plus plenty of time for engaging Questions and Answers
